Details : Young NTUC is back to form the largest human Singapore flag!
Venue : Padang (Next to SRC)

This 9th August will see a bolder feat. A feat that requires 12,288 union members to come back to Padang once again, and form a BIGGER and BETTER human Singapore flag. This time round, we will attempt 2 formations, 1 in the day and 1 at night.

Singapore belongs to you. Let’s all stand together and do our country proud on National Day this year!

For those who have received their tickets, please note:

 

  1. Entry to the Padang will be open from 3 pm onwards. We recommended that you arrive before 4.30 pm.

  2. Thank you all for the overwhelming response for this event. We have give out all 12,288 tickets.

  3. As CITY HALL MRT is expected to be congested, we strongly encouraged ticket holders to go via RAFFLES PLACE MRT.

  4. Entrance is limited to ticket holders only. Each ticket admits one and is exchangeable for 1 FunPack only.

  5. Each ticket holder will be allocated a 0.9 by 0.9 metres area on the Padang to view the Parade proceedings.

  6. For the safety of our participants, we recommend that parents who intend to bring their children make adequate provisions for them.  Each ticket holder may be accompanied by one child of up to 1 metre in height.  Children taller than 1 metre will require their own tickets for admission.  For children who do not meet the ticketing criteria, they will be required to share the space with their parents.

  7. This ticket is NOT FOR SALE.

  8. Young NTUC reserves the right to impose restrictions as expedient to our purposes for the event’s smooth execution.

  9. Please note that all participants should be healthy/fit enough to help form their portion of the national flag by holding up a LED light strobe on their own, as well as to be out on the field for at least three hours.

  10. Hand-carried bags will be subjected to security checks. You are strongly discouraged from bringing big bags into the Padang. For the safety of fellow spectators, the following items are prohibited: Explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares; compressed gases; oxidizing substances, such as bleaching powders; flammable liquids and solids; disabling devices such as pepper spray; poison; radioactive materials; corrosive materials; and any other materials which may present a danger to others.

  11. Please be reminded that this is a smoke-free event.

  12. Please note that entrances to the City Link underpass will be closed after the parade.

TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE MARINA BAY


The public is advised to take note of the following traffic arrangements for National Day.  For the safety of participants and to facilitate traffic arrangements for the event, the following roads will be closed to all motorists:

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected roads and to slow down should they need to travel along these roads or pass by the affected junctions. Officers will be stationed at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists as well as to facilitate the movement of pedestrians.  

Please note that parking at peripheral roads around Esplanade, Marina Bay vicinity; along the ECP (Benjamin Sheares Bridge) and Marina South to watch the fireworks display is strictly prohibited. Illegally parked vehicles will be fined and towed away. 

 


RAFFLES PLACE MRT INTERCHANGE
(North South/ East West Line)

Follow the pedestrian route along battery road, crossing Cavenagh Bridge, pass the scenic Queen Elizabeth Pass, crossing Esplanade Drive to reach the platform. Allow for a ten minute walk.

As CITY HALL MRT is expected to be congested, Spectators are strongly encouraged to go to RAFFLES MRT INTERCHANGE at the end of the show.


CITY HALL MRT INTERCHANGE
(North South/ East West Line)

The nearest MRT Station is City Hall. You can take a 10 minutes’ walk along Stamford Road, crossing Nicoll Highway to reach the first ticketing point. Alternatively, you can take a 10 minutes’ walk via the underground City Link Mall, exiting at One Raffles link to reach the second ticketing point.

Please note that entrances to the City Link underpass will be closed after the parade.
