Have you always been frustrated for not being able to capture decent photographs with your compact digital camera?  Is it really your camera’s fault that photos do not turn out as perceived?
Team Young NTUC - 20/20 is Young NTUC’s latest photography interest group.  It allows like-minded youths with interest in photography to have a platform to learn and share.  

TYN - 20/20 is partnering EMO (www.emo-studios.com), a professional photography services company, to offer a short photography class “Mastering your compact camera” in July 2008.  Participants will be exposed to lessons and field trip. There will also be discount packages for camera equipment.  On top of these, you will be given opportunities to mingle with our existing club members.

20/20 gives you Training; Solutions; and Exposure. What we need from you is your enthusiasm.

Each class is limited to only 20 participants per intake. Submission ends 1st July 2008.

This application is open to digital compact camera users only.

20/20 Course Description: " Mastering your compact camera" (2 hrs each 2.00pm-4.00pm)

This course will teach students how to fully utilize their compact digital camera.

These cameras don't have interchangeable lens systems or huge zoom ranges, but with proper framing techniques they will be able to capture professional looking photos as well.



Course Objectives
Through a series of assignments and practical sessions, students will learn how to fully utilize their compact digital camera. Specifically, they will learn
1)  Learn about the various functions of their compact camera
2 Learn about flash photography application for both day and night
3)  Learn principles of digital photography
4)  Learn principles of what makes a good picture
5)  Photo shoot and Photo clinic


How to enter:

Submission of photographs

1)  Photograph of yourself x 1
2 Photographs that represent your best works x 3 (include a description each on why you chose the photos, 50 words max)
-EG: Photo taken: 14th April 2008 Camera used: Canon IXUS 650



Entry Rules:

1)  Application is open to anyone regardless of age, gender, religion or nationality
2 All entries must be the original work of the applicant
3)  The decision of the panel will be final and no objections will be accepted
4)  Successful applicants will be contacted by phone
5)  TYN - 20/20 reserves the right to make changes to the rules as expedient to its purposes
6)  By applying, you are transferring to TYN - 20/20 perpetual rights, to use your photographs in any TYN - 20/20 publications or exhibitions.
